Our Keliix U15 Girls are pleased to welcome Alaina, Alex, Kelsey and Grace to our 2009-2010 team. Our goals for the summer 2010 playing season include: winning our playing division, achieving premier status for next season, and continued preparation for players' high school soccer seasons in the fall, via unparalleled training with David Lawson, our Master Trainer and Coach. David is the founder of Keliix Intra Soccer Club, known for his unflinching integrity for the game, and his pursuit of excellence for each player he coaches. Many of his players have gone on to play Division 1 college soccer.
The Keliix Girls U15C1 team is currently comprised of 17 players from a variety of communities in, and around, the Twin Cities area. Most of our players play high-level high school soccer, a number of them playing on varsity teams as freshmen. Some have been selected for regional ODP camp in DeKalb, IL, and all are hard-working, dedicated players who train year round. A successful showing at the 2010 NSC Spring Cup showed a gritty, smart team poised for a very exciting league season.
Inquiries about potential openings may be directed to Kathleen Goor or Norma Leslie, Co-Managers. Players interested should expect to put in a minimum of 2-3 days of training November - March, (usually Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in order to avoid other high school activity conflicts and weeknight homework), increasing to 4-6 days per week and training scrimmages as the league season nears. Summer practices occur during the daytime hours, Monday - Friday, with additional training at various times on Saturdays and Sundays. Only serious players willing to commit 100% to the year-round training schedule, and the full summer league season through the end of July should consider trying out.
